We collect information that you provide directly to us, information we collect automatically when you use our services, and information we receive from third-party platforms you connect to Meerkads.
2.1 Information You Provide
Account registration data: name, email address, company name, job title
Billing information: payment details processed securely through Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
Communications: messages you send to our support team
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Usage data: features accessed, actions taken, session duration, and interaction logs
Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system
Analytics data: collected via Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy for details)
2.3 Information from Connected Platforms
When you connect third-party platforms to Meerkads, we access and process data from those platforms solely to provide our services. This may include:
Advertising performance data from: Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, LinkedIn Ads, X Ads, Snapchat Ads, Microsoft Ads
Ecommerce and product data from: Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Ikas, Tsoft, Ticimax, BigCommerce, PrestaShop, Amazon, Trendyol, Hepsiburada, Walmart
Email marketing data from: Klaviyo, Omnisend, Mailchimp
Analytics and search data from: Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMrush
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To create and manage your account
To deliver, maintain, and improve our platform and services
To process payments and manage subscriptions
To provide AI-powered analysis, optimization recommendations, and creative generation features
To generate automated reports, performance insights, and forecasts
To send product updates, service notifications, and support communications
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
To comply with legal obligations
To improve our AI models and platform features using aggregated and de-identified data
Regarding AI training: We may use data processed through our platform to improve and train our AI models. This use is described in Section 7 below, and you may opt out at any time through your account settings.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
4.1 Service Providers
We share information with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate our platform, including:
Data obtained from Google APIs is not shared with any third party except as required to provide user-facing features (e.g., Heroku hosting and Google Cloud Platform storage operating on Meerkads' behalf under contractual data protection terms). See Section 8 for our full Limited Use commitments regarding Google user data.
Stripe: payment processing
Anthropic, OpenAI, Google (Gemini): AI model providers used only for inference (real-time analysis and recommendations) on a per-request basis for the authenticated user. Data obtained from connected advertising or analytics platforms (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.) is not sent to these providers for model training, fine-tuning, or any persistent storage on their side. Where transient processing is necessary to generate a user-facing insight, we use providers' zero-retention or no-training API modes where available.

4.2 Third-Party Advertising Platforms
We use pixels and tracking technologies from advertising platforms including Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok on our marketing website to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. This is separate from the advertising account data you connect to the Meerkads tool.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government agency).
4.4 Business Transfers
If Meerkads is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. Following account closure or cancellation, we retain your data for a period of one (1) year, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Certain records, such as billing and transaction data, may be retained for up to five (5) years to comply with applicable financial, tax, and legal obligations.

7. AI Data Use and Your Choices
Meerkads uses AI technologies provided by Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google Gemini to power features such as campaign analysis, optimization recommendations, anomaly detection, and creative generation.
What we use for our own AI/ML model improvement: Only aggregated, de-identified usage telemetry from the Meerkads product itself (e.g., which dashboard features are clicked, error rates, latency).
What we do NOT use for any AI/ML training, fine-tuning, or model improvement, in any form (identifiable, aggregated, or de-identified):
Data obtained from Google APIs (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console)
Data obtained from Meta APIs (Meta Ads, Meta Business)
Data obtained from TikTok APIs
Any other connected advertising, analytics, or e-commerce platform data
When AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini) process platform data for a real-time inference request initiated by you, the data is used solely to produce that response for you and is not retained by the provider for training where the provider offers such controls.

8. Google User Data
This section describes how Meerkads handles information obtained from Google APIs, in addition to the policies above. This section governs in the event of any conflict with other sections of this policy.
8.1 Scopes We Request
openid, email, profile: To identify you and create/maintain your Meerkads account.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords: To read Google Ads campaign performance (spend, impressions, clicks, conversions) and, only when you explicitly trigger an action from the Meerkads UI, to apply automation rules you configure (e.g., pausing underperforming campaigns, adjusting bids to your ROAS targets). The Google Ads API exposes a single OAuth scope covering both read and write; no read-only alternative exists.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly: To read conversion and revenue data from Google Analytics 4 and join it with Ads spend for ROAS and funnel reporting inside Meerkads. This is the most restrictive Analytics scope available for our use case.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters: To read Google Search Console performance data (impressions, clicks, queries) for organic search reporting inside Meerkads.
8.2 How We Use Google User Data
We use information obtained from Google APIs solely to provide and improve the user-facing features of Meerkads: rendering dashboards, generating performance reports, computing metrics such as ROAS, surfacing optimization insights, and executing automation rules that you configure and trigger from your own account.
8.3 Limited Use Compliance
Meerkads' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise monetize Google user data.
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features of Meerkads, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets where the receiving party will continue to honor this policy.
We do not use Google user data — in identifiable, aggregated, or de-identified form — to develop, improve, train, or fine-tune any generalized or non-personalized AI/ML model. Google user data is never shared with third-party AI model providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google Gemini) for training purposes.
Humans do not read Google user data unless: (a) we have your affirmative consent for specific data; (b) it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse; (c) it is required to comply with applicable law; or (d) the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in accordance with the Limited Use requirements.
8.4 Storage and Security
Google user data, including OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens, is encrypted at rest on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure and encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher. Access is scoped to the connecting user and protected with industry-standard authentication and access controls.
8.5 Retention and Deletion
Google OAuth tokens and the data fetched through them are retained only for as long as your Meerkads account is active or as needed to provide Meerkads features.
You may disconnect any Google account at any time from the "Integrations" page in Meerkads. Disconnection revokes our refresh token and triggers deletion of cached Google data associated with that connection within 30 days.
You may also revoke Meerkads' access directly at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
When you delete your Meerkads account, all Google user data associated with it is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
9. Do Not Sell My Personal Information (CCPA)
If you are a resident of California, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to request that we do not sell your personal information. Meerkads does not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.
California residents also have the right to:
Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell
Request deletion of personal information we have collected
Non-discrimination for exercising their privacy rights

10. International Data Transfers and GDPR
Meerkads is based in the United States. If you are accessing our services from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
For users in the EEA and UK, we rely on the following legal bases for processing personal data:
Performance of a contract: to provide and manage our services
Legitimate interests: to improve our platform, prevent fraud, and communicate about our services
Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws
Consent: where you have provided explicit consent (e.g., marketing communications)
EEA and UK residents have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of their personal data, and the right to data portability. 11. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

Our platform and website may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date.
